Overview of Scholarship Claim

The Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) Scholarship Claim, initiated by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, is a welfare scheme designed to provide financial assistance for education to the wards and widows of Ex-Servicemen (ESM). To be eligible for the KSB Scholarship Claim:

1. The applicant must be a dependent or widow of an Ex-Serviceman.

2. The student must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the previous academic year.

3. The course must be recognized by a government authority (School, College, University, or Technical Institute).

4. Only one scholarship per academic year is admissible for each eligible candidate.

The scholarship amount is determined according to the course level:

• School-level (Class IX–XII): ₹6,000 per year

• Undergraduate Courses: ₹12,000–₹18,000 per year

• Professional/Technical Courses: ₹24,000–₹30,000 per year

The amount is credited directly to the applicant’s bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
